OMDE 608: Student Support in Distance Education

Student Support in Distance Education and Training was another course that I could not get enough of. The elements of tutoring, advising, library service support, administrative services were immediately applicable in my working life. Profound conversations within the campus community arose from the issues in this course. One of the most successful student service departments on campus (catering to students with learning disabilities) became a wonderful ally. We explored the use of E-tutoring services together and discussed strategies for bringing their success to the distance student. Everyone from Financial Aid to the Writing Center got a vicarious piece of this course. Lucky them!
